Badfish Creek Time Trial

The Wisconsin State Time Trial Championship p/b Mad City Velo

In the past the Wisconsin Cycling Association State Time Trial occurred in the Lake Kegonsa Area, then New Glarus and for the last few years, south of Oregon in Rutland Township. Called the Badfish Creek 20K/40K Time Trial the TT uses Old Stone, Danks and Old Stage Roads. The first half is flat and then rolls over a series of moraines left by the last glacier. Each lap is 20K with youth and seniors doing one lap and everyone else enjoying two laps for 40K. With only three right turns per lap and quiet Saturday traffic this is one of the safest and smoothest courses found in southern Wisconsin. Rutland is accessible from major highways in four directions. We hope athletes find the trip worthwhile.
