The WICX Series, the United State’s largest statewide cyclocross series starts this Saturday in Silver Creek Park in Manitowoc, WI, and continues into Sunday with Greene Acres CX Classic in St. Francis, WI.
Cyclocross (CX) is a form of bicycle racing that has riders competing across several laps on a short course of mixed terrain and often includes navigating obstacles that may involve dismounting and carrying your bike. As such, it mixes multiple athletic endeavors, namely riding and running, with a strong emphasis on skillful bike handling.

There are 13 races altogether, plus a State Championship, a Regional Championship and two weekends of UCI racing at the Trek Factory and Englewood Grass Farms.
There are opportunities at all levels to race as many or as few as you please. Open to anyone ages 8 and up (learn how to calculate your cyclocross race age).
